Fayette Fair Share
Working for good Government all year round
Fayette Fair Share is a non-party, state political action committee formed in 2009 to work for good government. Not just at election time, but 365 days a year. Any registered Fayette County voter can be a member. We help to elect candidates who support our platform principles.
A short form of those principles is, “Fair jobs. Fair Taxes. Fair Elections. Quality Health Care and Education for All”. But we believe that working for good government is a year-round activity, engaging with our town councils, school board, county commission, and state legislature.
Most people think of a “PAC” as something that channels big money, tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars to political candidates.
We are not a money PAC.
We are a voter education and voter mobilization PAC that depends on volunteer action not big bucks donors. We sponsor events, hold rallies and marches and monthly meetings. We write letters and op-eds. We use social media to alert members about important events or elections. The work of citizen action to preserve and improve our democracy never ends.
